Study in Scotland
Scotland has long been regarded as a great place for education. It was the first to have the public education system. When it established the University of Edinburgh in 1582, Scotland already had four universities which are the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th oldest British universities, whereas the more populous country, England, had only two – Oxford and Cambridge.

Whilst adding up to less than 10% of British population, the high number of influential philosophical and scientific theories produced per population of Scotland compared to other countries such as England is unbelievable. The Royal Bank of Scotland is Europe’s second largest bank. HSBC, the largest financial institutes ranked by asset, and even the Bank of England was founded by a Scotsman!
