Study in Scotland
Scotland has long been regarded as a great place for education. Scotland is small in term of population, but in term of what it has contributed to the world, it’s huge!
Scotland was the first country in the world to introduce a public education system and has long been recognised across the world for the quality of education it provides. With the establishment of the University of Edinburgh in 1582 Scotland had four universities at a time when England had only two – Oxford and Cambridge.
Whilst adding up to less than 10% of the British population, the contribution to philosophical and scientific theories produced per head of population in Scotland is unbelievable. The Royal Bank of Scotland is Europe’s second largest bank. HSBC, the largest financial institutes ranked by asset, and even the Bank of England were founded by a Scotsman!
Scotland is one of the world’s best places to study, live and work – but unfortunately the majority of Thai students don’t seem to have realized this yet! Having had the opportunity to experience the greatest times of our lives in Scotland, we at McDucation are very proud of our adopted nation and it is our mission to make its excellence known to other Thai students. We look forward to providing information to anyone who is keen to know more about Scotland, for whatever purpose – to study, to undertake research, to work, to travel……. or just out of curiosity!
Scottish people are known to the world for their hospitality and friendliness, and for the quality of their education system. This is why Scotland has been welcoming international students for several hundreds of years.
